This was a tiny space, but we made it feel much bigger because everything is laid out perfectly. The fountain is not too big, the stone benches are awesome and the veggie garden is perfect.
This picture displays how beautifully the plants filled in the borders.
The plantings that we selected grew into the borders beautifully. They bring a balance of colors and textures with their leaves, shape and flowers.
The plantings here are beautiful, tough and very easy to maintain.
We put this magical turtle statue right in the middle of this pocket garden in Beverly Hills. It greets every visitor who enters this special landscape.
We used Redwood to construct this 4'x8' garden planter. Notice the 2"x12" along the top of the planter, that is for the home owner to sit on while gardening!
We used terra cotta colored Decomposed Granite to form up this path. It is edged with curving bender board.
This is how our DreamScape looked when we first finished. Since then, we have had to come back twice a year to cut back the plants because they all grew so fast.
We used drip line sprayers that are fully adjustable to irrigate the veggie garden, while using pop up sprayers to irrigate the plant borders.
We installed these amazing glass and brass lights for the entire back yard path. They take the night time experience of this magical DreamScape to the next level. These lights paired with the fountain lights are amazing.
Even though this landscape looks lush, it is filled with tough, sun loving California Native and drought tolerant plants.
Plastic lattice and vinyl posts were used to hide the air conditioner on the right side of the picture. We put Black Eyed Susan Vine on it to cover it up on the sides.
Creeping fig, a vine that does not damage what it attached itself to (like ivy does) was put along the back wall. Today, the wall is already almost all green and covered!
Benderboard was used to form up the circular concrete foundation that the fountain is sitting upon. It is perfectly level, very strong and will never crack or settle.
These super cool benches are made up of 3 chiseled stone pieces each. They fit together perfectly and are strong & stable. They perfectly compliment both the landscape and house.
This water fountain was purchased at Reseda Discount Pottery. It has lights on 3 levels, and the sounds it makes are soul soothing.
We designed this landscape to really make the best use of the space in this Beverly Hills back yard.
This fountain is very high quality. The water flows perfectly from level to level.
This garden planter on the left side is made from redwood. The only kinds of wood that one can use for a garden planter are Redwood and Cedarwood.
The garden planter pictured here has lots of herbs and vegetables. We filled the planter with organic soil amendment, so the veggies will be healthy for decades.
The plants in the borders grew in very fast. Some grew to twice their normal size!
The plants pictured here are ready for a trim. We love the wonderful combination of colors and textures in the plants and flowers.
This fountain is stunning. It fits proportionally in the space, turning this DreamScape into a magical destination.
The water fountain brings that magic that only water can to this landscape. The gentle sound of water falling can be heard from near by patios and even inside the house when it is on!
A great landscape invites you out into it, and for such a tiny space, we created an amazing journey! Come on in and look at the fountain. Have a seat on the stone benches and enjoy the soothing sound of the water fountain. On your way out, pick a tomato for the salad...
